SO MANY NEW CONSOLE FEATURES! So cool to see stuff like this! The option to have background music on the Home Screen like PS5 would be cool too! The ability to customize the music would be even cooler!

Xbox Insiders in the Beta ring are getting lots of new Xbox console features today:

• Include chat audio in your game captures
• Achievements new sorting options
• View, sort, and delete local game saves that aren’t currently in use
• Recent Games and Apps list management
• Full screen background view on Home (click RS to fade away the UI)
• New local search feature available in My games & apps, official club achievement lists, and profile achievement history
• View detailed information for every badge displayed on a profile, including high-resolution artwork
• Profile badges showcase
• Remote Play now at 1440p
• Selectable console startup animation
• While playing Xbox Cloud Gaming, downloads can now continue in the background
• Various fixes to focus while navigating the dashboard

On top of that, Xbox also seems to be A/B testing a Daily Gaming Streak on your profile, Achievements and Friends playing info on Home, as well as preparing the introduction of the Xbox Mythic Achievement.

Jumping on here briefly to confirm Halo Fest is still on for December. No changes to dates, locations, etc.

@XBOXTIMDOG Hey I respect that. I like hero Chief like we talked about, I think Chief can be whatever we want him to be. I just prefer he be there as the protagonist in general at this point

@Sonnie_Slim Absolutely, I’m limited on characters on here so I wasn’t able to fully express what I meant unfortunately. I love Halo 5 personally. I more meant the perception the game had post launch. If and that’s a big IF they are going to replace Chief it needs to be done right imo.

I guess I don’t understand how there are a number of people who don’t want Master Chief as the protagonist in the next Halo game. The whole purpose of Chief was that you could put yourself in his shoes. They tried replacing him in 5 and for most it didn’t go very well 1/2

@tomwarren Tom, we are very happy with GTA VI pre-orders. The title is breaking records for XBOX, we expect even more records will be broken throughout the fall, and our internal analysis shows our share of pre-orders to be matching our share of the console market.

And whatever team at Activision would have to make a pretty great character to replace what Chief represented. I want more Chief personally! Make a really great side character and have them star in spin offs ODST style!

Reboot Halo to right after 3. Start again with Chief and Cortana crash landing on some planet. Perfect reset point.

Over a year ago I said that Halo by Activision could work.

The way Campaigns are structured, they will be able to do it justice.
