@LamarMK So what's the range if it charged 10-80% in 10 minutes? That's a very important number to make that decision. If it was only a 100 miles than no. If was 300, than yes.
I never hear anyone talk about how great the front windshield of a Cybertuck is at avoiding bugs. I drove for LA to Tucson without one bug strike! Now the front of the frunk on the other hand... SHEESH! π

@twowheelcruise This is why I got the AWD with the air bags. Now we're all going to get the videos of the Cybertruck squatting thanks to you! Just kidding. You are using it like a truck should be!
@appltrack Now that I know that LG is basically a spyware company... no way! Can't believe that Apple, who prides itself on security, would partner with them.
I'm not sure if this works for the OEM tires that come with a Tesla. I literally got my Cybertruck and drove it to Discount Tire 30 minutes after a bought it. I didn't like the stockers.
How the Mechanism Works:
Manufacturer Mileage Warranty: Most aftermarket tires (except dedicated ultra-high-performance summer tracks or certain factory OEM tires) include a manufacturer treadwear warranty (e.g., 50,000 miles).
Discount Tire as the Intermediary: Discount Tire handles the manufacturer claim directly at the counter. If the tire wears out before the rated mileage, the manufacturer issues a prorated credit toward a replacement set based on the mileage shortfall.
The Math:
Rated: 50,000 miles
Driven before wearing to the wear bars (typically 2/32" or 3/32"): 20,000 miles
Wear percentage delivered: 40% (20k / 50k)
Shortfall credit: 60%
If a new set costs $2,000, a ~50% to 60% prorated credit knocks roughly $1,000 to $1,200 off the base price of the replacement tires.
Why Cybertrucks (and Heavy EVs) Trigger This:
Mass & Torque: The Cybertruck weighs between 6,600 and 6,900 lbs and delivers instant electric torque. This accelerates longitudinal shearing on tread blocks far faster than standard internal combustion trucks.
Premature Depletion: Tires with compound chemistry rated for 50,000 miles on average passenger trucks routinely burn down to 2/32"β3/32" within 15,000 to 25,000 miles under EV loads.
The Required Conditions & Catches:
To actually get Discount Tire to approve the credit, specific strict criteria must be met:
Documented Rotations: Discount Tire requires regular tire rotations (every 5,000 to 6,000 miles). Because Discount Tire provides free lifetime rotations and automatically logs service history to your customer account profile, having them do the rotations creates an audit trail that manufacturers cannot dispute.
Even Wear Across the Tread: The claim gets rejected if the wear is uneven. If the edges wear out due to bad wheel alignment or aggressive camber while the center has plenty of tread, manufacturers classify that as mechanical/suspension neglect, not premature treadwear.
OEM Tires Usually Do Not Qualify: The original tires installed by Tesla at the factory typically do not carry a manufacturer mileage warranty. This strategy applies almost exclusively to the second set onward (aftermarket tires purchased with a mileage rating).
Incidentals Are Not Covered: The prorated discount only applies to the base cost of the rubber. You still pay out of pocket for sales tax, local tire disposal fees, mounting and balancing, and any optional road hazard certificates on the new set.
For those that have followed my withdraw limit woes on X Money, they have all been lifted! Maybe it has something to do with me being an account holder for a month now? I don't know, but super happy now. The 1500 a day limit was horrible!
@5starlabs
@5starlabs I just checked today, and it was changed. No notifications. I did do a 25K ACH pull from my brokerage account two days ago. I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not.
