It’s a game of nerves now and demands a leadership response.

Kinetics are always, if not mostly framed into a psychological jukebox. India for sure took the TTP and BLA problems of Pakistan into consideration before it attacked.

But more importantly, Pakistan’s political polarisation must have been key to its design. The recent narrative win locally at least, has shown a national resolve in Pakistan, brushing aside political dissent [for the time being].

Drones, have long been associated with mis-trust, the psychological impact of drones has been a subject of psychological discourse in recent years, Indian drones in Pakistan’s skies are not just to provoke the Pakistan military’s response but instigate a sense of insecurity — in other terms — resent its security apparatus. And build public pressure to respond.

The answer for Pakistan lies in a leadership response internally and externally. The impact of this response will be based on the qualitative abilities of its leadership.

Dear Civil Society Friends and Media,

I am writing with deep concern about my sister, who is under immense psychological pressure in prison. Her health has deteriorated dramatically, and she has been sick for the past three days without access to proper medical care.

Last night, she became severely unwell and experienced repeated vomiting. A doctor was finally called this morning, but the delay in medical attention is unacceptable. I fear that she is being deliberately kept in conditions that are worsening her health, and I am deeply concerned that her food may be contaminated.

This morning, I visited the jail to meet her. My sister iqra wasn’t allowed to meet her. I meet her only for a couple of minutes. She looked extremely weak, sick and fragile.

Beside that, Mahrang has repeatedly complained about surveillance cameras, the lack of proper beds, food, and the violation of her rights as a political prisoner.

Despite these hardships, she remains strong in her spirit. But she is sick and we fear for her life. Internet services were shutdown in Quetta today so that we can’t amplify her voice.

I urge you all to continue raising your voices for her and all detained Baloch prisoners.

Can @BBhuttoZardari explain why the PPP Govt is so compromised and weak in front of Agencies that it cant even allow political prisoners & dissenters visitation rights from family and friends. BYC leader @SammiBaluch is not an under-trial prisoner she has only been detained under MPO by Sindh Govt. The legality of the MPO is questionable as is but to add to the misery of Sammi her Family is being restricted from meeting her. It is Sammi's express right under Section 58 and Rules 771 & 868 of the Sindh Prisons and Corrections Services Act and Rules to have visitation from family, friends and legal Counsels. Today at Central Jail Sammi's family had to protest in order for her mother and sister to be allowed a meeting. The Jail Authorities and Home Department falls under the #PPP Govt. It appears the Establishment has already decided that dissenting voices whether of activists like @MahrangBaloch_ & Sammi or whether journalists like @FarhanGMallick and @awaheedmurad are to be denied their right to liberty and are to spend their Eid imprisoned under frivolous cases and arbitrary detention orders. The aim is to not only emotionally frustrate and exhaust them but also their families. Now by denying them visitation rights and right to receive food and daily essentials the Govt is denying Sammi her right to invioable dignity. PPP has govt in both Balochistan and Sindh. If it does not have the courage to recall the MPO and order the release of political prisoners at least have the decency to treat prisoners in accordance with law.
