@Englishremnant Not a Brit but our whole parish left Anglicanism for the Orthodox Church back in 1992. I have found in Orthodoxy the fulfillment of the promises of Anglicanism that Anglicanism has abandoned.
@ScottJenningsKY So-called “daylight saving time” is an abomination. All of Indiana, all of Michigan, and more than half of Ohio should be on Central Standard Time, not Eastern Daylight Time.
Phoenix PD bodycam just dropped the quiet part out loud.
Officer Annette Hannah, while processing a woman who blew triple zero on the breathalyzer and passed every test:
“They’re gonna kick me off squad if I don’t get a DUI… I can’t just conjure one up. I have tried.”
Her partner: “You can. You can.”
The woman? Brianna Longoria a California nurse in town for her wedding so her sick dad could attend. No alcohol, no drugs, no impairment. Arrested anyway. Charges dropped, but the arrest stays on her record… for now.
She filed a federal lawsuit (2: 25-cv-04931) alleging a de facto DUI quota. Phoenix PD says “we don’t have quotas” and both officers are still on duty. Internal review is “ongoing.”
This is why people don’t trust “just comply.” When the numbers matter more than the facts, innocent people get steamrolled.
Texas Constables accidently record themselves stealing from evicted family.
Constable Traylor-Harris, Chief Deputy LaQuenda Banks, and Sgt. Derrick Holman arrived at a Tyler residence to execute a writ of possession (an eviction). While the tenant was away, the officers began clearing the house.
LaQuenda Banks believed she was turning her body camera off, but she actually turned it on. The footage captured the officers going through the home and selecting items to keep for themselves. You can see this at the start of the video.
The list of items taken was extensive, including luxury watches, Apple electronics, high-end sunglasses (Oakley and Ray-Ban), designer makeup, cash, ammunition, and even a safe containing antique coins and military medals. Estimated value up to 2500.00.
According to court testimony, after the eviction, the trio returned to the office, waited for other staff to leave, and then divided the stolen items among themselves.
In the footage, you can actually see the interaction where the theft is coordinated. Traylor-Harris is seen handing a watch box to LaQuenda Banks, telling her to "take that s*."** Banks then concealed several of these items inside her uniform shirt to carry them out to their vehicle.
Because the value was assessed in the $750–$2,500 range, Traylor-Harris was charged with a State Jail Felony, which is a specific classification in Texas for theft by a public servant involving property of that value.
The legal outcome was different for all three.
Curtis Traylor-Harris Constable (Elected) Guilty. Convicted of Theft by a Public servant. Sentenced to 5 years' probation and a $10,000 fine. He was also removed from office.
LaQuenda Banks Chief Deputy Guilty Plea. She testified against Traylor-Harris, claiming she felt forced to follow his orders. She pleaded guilty to Official Oppression and received 18 months' probation.
Derrick Holman Sergeant Not Guilty. A jury found him not guilty of the theft charges, though he had already lost his position within the department.

🚨BREAKING: DHS agents are now illegally arresting U.S. citizens at airports… and trafficking them across state lines.
A 28-year-old U.S. citizen, Sunny Naqvi, was detained by DHS, for 43 hours, after landing at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago.
She wasn’t charged with a crime, and she wasn’t accused of doing anything illegal…
Agents reportedly detained her over what they called a “curious travel history.”
Even though Sunny was born in Illinois…they still disappeared her.
After being held for about 30 hours inside the airport, agents secretly moved Sunny to an ICE detention facility in Broadview, Illinois.
While this was happening, federal agents repeatedly told her family she was NOT in custody, even though her phone location showed she was inside the facility.
Then it gets worse.
According to witnesses, agents asked for Sunny’s phone number so they could “look for her phone.”
Minutes later, the phone was opened, her messages were read, and the device was shut off, cutting off the family’s ability to track her.
After that, agents transported the U.S. citizen across state lines, to another detention facility in Dodge County, Wisconsin.
And then she was eventually released early Saturday morning… in a random state, alone.
Her phone was dead, and she had no transportation.
So, a U.S. citizen detained by the federal government had to hitchhike to a hotel, just to be able to reunite with her family.
And this is what people need to understand…
When federal agents can detain U.S. citizens without charges… lie to families about their custody, search personal phones, and secretly transport people across state lines…
That puts every single American in danger.
Because they can do it to anyone.
BREAKING: USAID official and 3 company executives plead guilty in fraud and bribery scheme involving at least 14 contracts worth over $550 million
USAID Official Roderick Watson took bribes, was showered with lavish gifts— including cash, laptops, thousands of dollars in tickets to a suite at an NBA game, a country club wedding, downpayments on two residential mortgages, cell phones, and jobs for relatives.
In exchange for the bribe payments, Watson influenced the award of contracts by manipulating the procurement process at USAID.
Watson faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
Imagine how much more fraud there is…

Russia tried permanent Daylight Saving Time, but repealed it due to increased mental and physical health problems. Permanent Standard Time instead is best!
This video clearly shows a ref who is blind and/or on the @MapleLeafs payroll. I guess we'll find out now if @NHLPlayerSafety is on the Leafs' payroll, as well.
