People are always asking me, LPT. How do you do it?
How do you hold trades for days, weeks, and sometimes months with so much confidence that you make it look easy?
The truth is, it comes down to my foundation and my personality.
When I started learning Forex over 7 years ago, I was fortunate to meet a trader who gave me one piece of advice that changed everything.
“Never go lower than H4 when trading.”
Back then, I used to spend hours at a cybercafé studying trading videos on YouTube and taking notes. There was a guy who always saw me there doing the same thing every day. I didn’t know him, and I had no idea he was a trader.
One day, he approached me and asked why I was interested in trading. We talked for a while, and then he showed me his MT5 account with multiple trades running. I was amazed like.
Before we exchanged contacts, he gave me that advice
“Never go lower than H4 when trading.”
At that time, traders were not as common as they are today. Many people didn’t even know Forex trading existed. So when I finally met a real trader and received advice from him, I carried it on my head.
That advice stayed with me.
As I started backtesting and trading on demo accounts, all my analysis and executions were based on the H4 timeframe. Even on demo, I always had positions running. Holding trades became normal to me because that’s how I learned from the beginning.
A year later, I met another trader and visited his house. To my surprise, he was trading the 15min chart.
I remember looking at him and saying,
“15 minutes? I don’t trade 15 minutes.” 😏
He was actually the first person who introduced me to lower-timeframe trading.
But by then, I had already spent more than a year holding trades for days and weeks. It had become part of who I was as a trader.
The story is much longer than this, but the point is simple
My foundation was built on swing trading.
My trading journey started with patience.
Holding positions for days wasn’t something I learned later, it was how I learned from day one.
Now it’s been over 7 years.
What do you expect? It will definitely look easy

3. A good attitude towards learning.
The moment you put all these in place, everything changes.
