Having watched Modiba on the Skeem GP Podcast last night, he continues to mislead people about the City of Ekurhuleni. He does not tell the full story about the ICT tender or how Moloko and Dr. Mashazi benefited from it. To this day, you will never hear him say anything about Dr. Mashazi, who was the City Manager of Ekurhuleni. We all heard her testimony at the Madlanga Commission. We have all seen her lavish lifestyle, and we know Julius Malema spoke highly of her. In my view, Modiba is the spokesperson of the cabal. He appears more interested in defending Moloko than in asking difficult questions or applying the same level of scrutiny to everyone involved. Why the silence about Dr. Mashazi?

We understand that the matter is still under investigation, and we will maintain close communication with the South African police on this issue. The Chinese government has zero tolerance toward the production and sale of counterfeit goods, and we support the South African government in taking firm action against such illegal activities. At the same time, all actions must be conducted on the basis of the rule of law and due process. Should the suspect be found guilty, China will work with South Africa on law enforcement in this regard.
