@MitchyGallo He’s won pretty much every trophy and award you can win, while on team friendly deals.
Making this about anything other than money is unnecessarily overcomplicating things. He wants the bag before he retires, and I think he’s earned that
My completely unprofessional and dumb mock trade for Kucherov:
Dobeš
Hage
2027 1st
Bolduc
Engstrom
Thoughts? Vasy will be on the last year of his deal next year and might be gone after Kuch. This may not even be enough tbh
People may not like it, but it’s the right choice for multiple reasons:
- Banning the reigning Hart and Vezina winners from best-on-best means that, by definition, it’s no longer best-on-best
- other countries are also doing horrible things and remain able to play 🤷
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruled that @IIHFHockey must immediately allow Russia to participate in all upcoming tournaments.
Russia returns starting with 2027 World Juniors in Edmonton in 57 days.
IIHF says it "disagrees" with the ruling, citing safety and security of all participants.
I mean… I dare not say names, but some bodies are gonna need to move out sometime soon, because MULTIPLE guys are too good for their current leagues at the moment.
Underrated thing that I learned from watching the game tonight
Rantanen is a sore little bitch. His lack, or complete absence of, effort on several plays tonight was glaring and laughable. He was basically standing straight-legged all night waiting for PP’s
"I got to give Dylan a lot of credit. He went out and played hard for us. Dylan's been here for 12 years. In terms of sitting out, I can't put a timeline on it. With the teams on his list a trade is difficult."
@ivandemigoal@PierreVLeBrun@JLazzy23 To be fair, the GM of the wings wasn’t even allowed to explore trades for his players till September. It doesn’t exactly inspire confidence or good faith when you’re in the backseat of a car with no driver, I’d be frustrated too tbh.
Still doesn’t excuse not showing up tho
100% agree with all this, but I will play devils advocate and say that Shawn Horcoff wasn’t given permission from ownership to explore trades for players till like… September.

So, to recap the Larkin situation, this year he has:
- Said he wants to be a Red Wing for life
- Missed the playoffs again (scored one even strength goal after the Olympics btw)
- Demanded a trade (but only to the top 3 US contenders)
- Lost the captaincy
- Begrudgingly showed up to camp (but wouldn't *really* answer any questions & got "injured)
- Decided to play & said his focus was on winning games
- Expanded his trade list (to the top 10 US contenders)
- Publicly quit on his team for a second time
Missing anything? Seems like a really easy guy to root for
My understanding is while #LGRW have remained engaged in trade talks, the plan is for Dylan Larkin to sit out for asset protection purposes until a trade is completed.
Sounds like Larkin camp has applied pressure.
Awaiting interim GM Shawn Horcoff to address the situation.
🇫🇷 The French Senate has passed the “Rioters Pay” bill, making rioters financially liable for damages during public demonstrations.
They can be ordered to pay up to €10,000 ($11,000) for property damage, even if they did not personally commit the vandalism.
Liability covers anyone who “knowingly participated” in a group formed to vandalize, or who stayed after two police dispersal warnings.
Social media platforms must remove content inciting violence, vandalism, or insurrection within 24 hours of an authority request, or face blocking and delisting.
To recover unpaid damages, the state can seize parts of social benefits, including family allowances, housing assistance, supplements, and France’s minimum-income benefit.
The Lula regime is now going around seizing the passports of every major figure associated with the political party that beat him in the general election 3 weeks ago.
I really regret not picking up Fowler’s Future Watch Auto a couple of weeks ago when it was $400. It was going for $600 BEFORE tonight’s game… I’m honestly too scared to even look at the price now
