Unpopular opinion:

Most crypto users don’t deserve full self-custody.

Not because they’re stupid.

Because the tools are reckless.

Right now, wallets:

I worked on wallets years ago.

Technically… every possible private key already exists somewhere.

There are sites that list every combination that could ever be generated.

Sounds terrifying.

But here’s the reality.

Ethereum/Solana addresses live in a space of 2¹⁶⁰ possibilities.

That number is absurd.

Earth has ~7.5 quintillion grains of sand.
Even if you had thousands of Earth-like planets filled with sand…

you still wouldn’t reach the number of possible wallet keys.

So yes ! your key exists.

But finding it randomly?
Practically impossible.

Like picking one specific atom in the universe.

Classical computers would take longer than the age of the universe to brute-force it.

Now here’s the twist.

⚠️ Quantum computers change the game.

Algorithms like Shor’s can break today’s elliptic curve cryptography in minutes… even seconds.

Which means:

The math protecting your wallet today
won’t protect it tomorrow.
