What happens if you blow your cartridges before inserting it in the system? This. The Sega JVC X'Eye console was displaying a black screen on startup and it wouldn't load up the CD Bios screen or read any cartridges at all due to the missing substrate on both the 68000 and SRAM chip, which sits directly above the cartridge slot. I had to press the chips down, only to see it booting up, but not consistently. Anyways I removed the two chips and uncovered the missing substrate and reworked on both of those chips' pads and as soon as I soldered both chips back on, it started working again! With that working again, FRAM chip has been installed, system has been recapped, and new lens swapped out on the system! It's back up and running again!

@burkov only two good things about FB.
The specialized groups of enthusiasts. For example certain cars, electronics and other hobbies that are niche. You can buy sell trade, get help with repairs, learn.

The other is marketplace. Very useful, needs to be improved. Better than CL
