The city might have voted to build four new jails in our boroughs but we believe that another world is possible. I am so fucking proud of our youth, who spent the entire day sharing their vision for an abolitionist future and channeling what our ancestors before us fought for.
Our power is not determined by any governing body that does not honor the wholeness of our lives.
Your power is your life itself.
To be alive means you hold possibility in your every breath. Liberation can only come if we protect and care for each other’s lives wholly/as holy.

When Israel one day (soon) goes the way of Rhodesia, never let NYU forget how they made being pro-colonialism a protected class in order to protect an apartheid regime from being protested by students.
I’m so fucking sad. Every Palestinian lost is a lost full person, a person who had people who loved them, a person with a lifetime of ideas and preferences and dreams. How is this the world we live in?
