American healthcare doesn't need more automation. It needs transformation. There's a difference, but I'm finding most people building in this space don't know what it is.
Lets keep it simple:
Automation = take what exists, make it faster.
Transformation = achieve outcomes in new ways.
A scribe that doesn't reimagine the purpose of a Note isn't transformation. It's a faster version of the same broken thing.
At @percepta we're embedded inside hospitals. I'm texting daily with the CEO of our closest partner. Engineers are in constant contact with Nurses.
That's the only way real transformation happens, having engineers and operators building together, in the same room, against real problems. Every. Single. Day.
We're growing fast. And I'm going to start posting more.
Hot takes. Field stories. What we got wrong. What's working. Why health tech sucks and why its what I live for.
Because the only way to find the right people is to show the work.
We need people who want to do the hardest version of this.
Engineers. PMs. Consultants. PE folks. Healthcare lifers. People with zero healthcare experience who are just exceptional.

Academic studies that anchor on techniques for making 2 year old models not suck are holding back AI diffusion and improvements to clinical care
If you want to actually use LLMs to transform hospital operations, come join us @percepta https://t.co/krd8lAwFjK
AI coding a C compiler is cool but a “cracked engineer” is the one who builds a new thing that touches existing systems or set up future systems for success. We’re on the path there, but not quite yet.

@Sigalow Say more. "all the work" for others? Pick ups for me? Will each of us have fewer cars because there is now a way for the a local fleet of cars to be used more efficiently? (I do think sq feet of suburban houses could be less if no on-prem garage needed)
@UPS trying to resolve a possible issue of fraud. Received a valuable package with my address. I'd love to keep the contents. (LOVE!), but don't want s/one suffering if they paid for it. in the news, this item is s/times fraud related. no place to report. pls PM me
@chrisfralic Half way through. Want to love it. Sometimes finding it hard with all the name dropping and inside winks. I’m only up to my own 18th year ‘(‘86), so, hoping familiarity will make it easier.
@markgerson@RNS Spent the weekend with the book. Different (very!). Really enjoyed the mix of personal insight and fresh meta-look at the process of Telling.
