@graphtheory was offered a good bit in exchange for the tomorrow i found in my pocket, but that which makes tomorrow so appealing is already done; would be an unfair, fraudulent exchange [in my favor] had i sold it for mere multigenerational wealth; are moments in today worth more.
@Thomasdelvasto_@TheGnomeJarl map is not territory; ie putting off getting in the water to spend more time reading how to be a better swimmer won’t help, more likely to over complicate; claiming your issues are severe is a privilege of too much time and/or low responsibility; prepare & find joy in hardship.
@DefenderOfBasic if you’d like to defend me, no need, only i can pay the consequences for my mistakes. may be useful to be a light for those yet fallen, but there’s no money in that. but, specifically for me, personally? just be my friend; or, if not possible, a friend to someone else, for me.
@shuwaruzu@taijitu_sees there’s 4;
1. imaginary; 1+1=2
2. real; two apples
3. symbolic; f(x)_b; this [unfalsifiable idea is a] weird (b)ridge that enables me to [execute and optimize things] get over a gap that others cannot; the function is true if it works, regardless opinion/proofs
4. 🌊🐢☄️
@PunkXBT_ when a lab subject is smit ad nauseam for living [any] question, over-indexing is the only place left to play; no hard feelings tho, subject’s at fault for not recognizing the experiment; fwiw i find [w/ great joy] that moats are built far on the other side of diminishing returns
my philosophy in a tweet, as things stand:
ontology: play, experiment
epistemology: expand, amplify
philosophy of religion: explore
theology: infinite
politics: divisertainment
moral philosophy: inner -> outer
meta-ethics: outer -> inner
FWIW here’s me —
Ontology: not sure
Epistemology: not sure
Philosophy of Religion: weak agnoticism
Theology: not sure
Politics: not sure
Moral Philosophy: not sure
Meta-ethics: not sure
@Actualwebutante@aleksil79@Materia_Mundi if you had his key, which he’d probably give to folks he trusts, then you’d see which side he’s on, no? i feel like the archetype he’s worried about is dormant in everyone, circumstantial to both nurture & nature, so it’s kind of a wash for @DefenderOfBasic’s claim to certainty
@DefenderOfBasic in my experience, the world is pay to play, not play to win; if one optimizes effectively [within allowed limits using competence], they will be marked as spam, shut down for exploitation, or be required to pay increasingly expensive fees, certifications, etc to continue
@mousemastery@DefenderOfBasic that’s a horrible thing to say. but, also, did i make friends and laugh with them along the way? did i leave the world a better place than i found it? i think so.
