Part 5 of 5: You know your nonprofit is doing good things when your graduate student unfamiliar w/ #endometriosis gives an unbiased, objective assessment that hits a 🎯 during the Q & A session after presenting their Capstone Project. #extrapelvicendometriosis#capstoneproject
Sharing a sample of data gathered EPNR collect from students on a large university in a rural area. Just one example collection that supports the need to include endometriosis content w/in compulsory & higher education programs, resources and/or campus activities. #endometriosis
Endometriosis has been documented in the nose, eyes, brain, skin, inguinal canal, wrists & surgical scars.
If disease follows the cycle outside the pelvis, is it truly “pelvic”?
Are we looking widely enough to find it?

@PelosiPuckered@BraddrofliT wrong. in the first trimester of embryo dvlpmt rudentary repro tracts of both male & female organs develop. The presence of Y chromosome, timing & degree of expression dictates further develop. Sometimes both cont at different rates. At least 2.5% people + genitalia of M&F.
Endometriosis isn’t one disease — it’s many forms, many symptoms, many challenges.
That’s why diagnosis gets delayed.
One-size-fits-all treatments don’t work.
specialist-led care is essential. Each patient needs a tailored approach.

@LangmanVince Moron. Climate change isnt just warming. It involves drastic shifts in weather patterns and intensity of weather events. Eventually the jet streams that we all recognize as our 'typical weather' by geographic location will be irreversibly disrupted followed by universal heat up
@EvanPrinciple@GeneralMCNews Also invested myriad volunteer hrs on project for global recruit & participation of people w/ endometriosis. WHO recent accepted it as a condition to monitor and invest resources to improve awareness, identify its origin(s) & REAL treatments.

Founder of grassroots nonprofit for public & healthcare profs awareness & knowledge abt endometriosis; a disease that can cause lung collapses, cough blood, death of kidney, bowel obstructions & more yet still projected as 'just bad periods'=7-10ys dx delay, freq misdx

@theendoinformer OMG. I've a few bits to add abt the state of things in AU, 'evidence' used by the Pain Specialists' & other potential contributors to form this opinion. Depleted spoons atm. Thank You for continuing to spotlight controversial issues concerning endometriosis & staleholders.
