[Starknet (Privacy arc) 🥷 @Starknet]

Starknet mainnet will be temporarily unavailable today starting at 8:10 AM UTC as the network prepares for the v0.14.2 upgrade.

This is one of the most important protocol upgrades Starknet has shipped in a long time.

v0.14.2 introduces in-protocol proof verification, a major protocol-level change that allows Starknet to verify proofs natively rather than relying on expensive and inefficient application-layer workarounds.

By making that possible, v0.14.2 unlocks native privacy on Starknet, enabling STRK20 and strkBTC, lays the groundwork for zkThreads, which are key to Starknet’s path toward infinite scaling, and adds another key building block for deeper decentralization.

Expected downtime: ~10 minutes.

3. Common scam tactics (including fake support)

Scammers may:
•Claim your Testnet BTC is “real but locked”
•Ask for an “activation” or “verification” fee
•Offer to sell you Bitcoin at a cheaper price
•Impersonate Xverse Support on messaging apps like Telegram, WhatsApp,...

⚠️ They may send Testnet/Signet BTC and ask you to send fiat in return.
