@sepedamantap I see Nolan taking the Trojan war and the Horse as it is very similar to the atomic bomb. Odysseus as the main originator behind it is very similar to Oppenheimer. I felt him adapting Odysseus in this is just a tool to push this moral agenda of grief. Eventhough it's not accurate

@sepedamantap Yeah, I see. Odysseus' character in this movie is meant to be a continuation of his Oppenheimer's complex character dealing with guilt and in this case with the addition of grief. I think Odysseus in this movie is much more complex emotionally, it's just different.

@sepedamantap Nolan made the previously witty and do-anything-to-win character into a much more complex character emotionally, and I felt it fits more in this current climate of society. I like both characters so much in a very different way. I feel like you shouldn't compare them both

@sepedamantap just too lengthy to include in the movie. It has to include a context scene of Odysseus making the tree bed to make it make sense. I personally think the pin makes sense in terms of Penelope verifying Odysseus' stories. Him carrying it through 10+ years of war is pretty romantic

@sepedamantap that part, I think he just mixed lotus eaters story with calypso, to hit 2 birds with 1 stone. You have to understand it's an interpretation, not a reenactment. Pretty impossible to recreate all scene from the 12k lines book in sub-3 hours movie and still being entertaining

@NolanAnalyst The Cyclops was TERRIFYING. How he killed Odysseus' crews in the dark & the screm & the way he chase down the hill with his terrifyingly tall figure. Still gave me chills...

@alien_kiddooo i think nolan just wanted odyssey's character to be a continuation of his Oppenheimer's arc. Which highlighted both character's guilt. This movie specifically twist the story to show more of how he fought the guilt & trauma he experienced in Troy in the form of adventures.

The movie actually further proving this point by showing that he's not great at fights, shown in various scene throughout. It just sounds weird in trailer, but makes sense.

@kureei90 like, in terms of transportasi antar kampus, it's good enough & doesn't need that robust of transportation network. Since kampus2nya kebagi2, jd tiap kampus masih walkable. sistem parkirannya pun ok (terlebih kampus b), ga overload (im talking about feb & ftui)
