EXCLUSIVE: The new "Stargate" TV series has been axed at Amazon.

The show was first announced with a series order in November 2025 and hailed from showrunner Martin Gero, who was a writer on "Stargate SG-1" and "Stargate: Atlantis." Sources say Amazon execs were concerned that Gero's take on the series would not have broad appeal beyond the franchise's already dedicated fanbase.

@4slayer50582685 @Ulchete I personally love Genshin's magitech take on the sci-elements and enjoy connections between the games but for the latter I'm glad they've chosen to keep connections or potential connections subtle/understated. Less intrusive that way and more of a treat for those looking.

@4slayer50582685 @Ulchete Because this was always the plan. The sooner people accept that the better. I'm not saying people need to like it. I feel for anyone who wants more of the fantasy/less sci-fi. But there's a reason this game's working title internally was Honkai 4.
