Asmongold explains why Republicans like Hasan more than Democrats and why they don't want to deplatform him
"Perfect caricature for everything that's wrong with the left..openly racist, openly antisemitic..actively claims multiple identities all of the time as an excuse for his behavior or some kind of defense..he didn't grow up in America..doesn't really have those foundational American ideals"
"Nepo baby, anchor baby, also a champagne socialist..he enjoys the pinnacle of luxury and privilege..at the same time he wants to take that away and position himself as if he's not one of those people"
"I honestly think that Hasan will probably never be deplatformed bc there are so many people on the right wing that will never actually push for it..they know it's better to let him keep talking"
🇺🇸🇨🇦 Victor Davis Hanson on Canada:
The official story in Canadian media is poor little Canada, bullied by Big Bad Trump.
The structure of the story is different. America is ~13 times the Canadian economy. Canada sends most of what it sells to one customer. Carney walked out of a deal and is playing EU-China optics games on the U.S. border.
VDH’s word for it: a fantasy house. No connection to the trade ledger.
You can hate the tariffs. You cannot repeal the law of gravity either. A $2.5T country does not get to lecture a $32T neighbor and then act shocked when the invoice arrives.
