Grassroots efforts along with the support of #SenatorDougJones#SenatorCollins this year Axed the WidowsTax!!!! Thank you to all who fought to right this for my family and 65,000 others. 🇺🇸
RT@cutchins_lynn "Imagine you paid into a Survivors Benefit Plan. Imagine you serve your country 20 yrs. Imagine you die from a service connected illness. Now imagine your widow finds out he/she won't receive the PAID benefit. It's time to #AxeWidowsTax" @JimInhofe@SenJackReed
It is time to finally fix this injustice. This survivor benefit plan is paid for with income and with the ultimate sacrifice, their lives. Repeal the forfeiture of survivor benefits when service to our country causes the death. #AxeWidowsTax@JimInhofe@SenJackReed
Please keep the Widows Tax repeal language in The final NDAA FY2020. We are counting on our democracy working for its people. Our calls, emails, visits and town hall meetings all show our determination to #AxeWidowstax.
Please do not forget about those of us 65,000+ #militarywidows who pray our leaders #AxeWidowsTax this year. Please don't forget about us. Our heroes paid the ultimate price they DIED because they served. Please keep nk it in #NDAA20
My husband served the entire nation for 26 years and died of a service connect cancer and his widow’s paid-for pension (SBP) is reduced by half. Senate Bill S622 will eliminate this unjust offset.
#axewidowstax @realDonaldTrump
@gop@SenateDems The cost of war also affects the.spouses. ANOTHER spouse not getting SBP because of offset! This is the.year to #AxeWidowsTax this #military member served the USA OWES because they died because they served! #s622 SHAME ON THE GOVERNMENT
Our Beloved...gone too soon. Gary served our country 26 years and died of a service connected cancer. His widow’s paid-for Benefits (SBP) are offset by half because his military service caused his cancer; adding more pain for his family.

“The U.S. government will finally live up to its obligation to military families.” @SenDougJones tells @AnnieYuTV on House passing NDAA amendment to #AxeWidowsTax@wusa9
“This is a question about fundamental justice. I don’t think anyone in the House or Senate wants to be seen as voting against benefits for surviving military spouses.” @RepJohnYarmuth on NDAA that includes #AxeWidowsTax amendment. @AnnieYuTV@wusa9@SenDougJones
This robbery has to stop. Military surviving spouses are the only category of survivor who has to forfeit survivor benefits when service to our country causes the death. Pass HR 553. Military Families Deal With Unintended Consequence Of 2017 Tax Law https://t.co/M4MbLQDAv6
