Chinese youth are using AI to bring their ancestors to life showing them the country their resilience and hard work helped lay the foundations for. A powerful tribute across generations. Now ask yourself this: would your ancestors be proud of where your country stands today?
Chinese people are deeply proud of their country’s progress, and rightfully so. More than anything, they carry the memory of their ancestors, those who fought off foreign forces, endured unimaginable hardship, and laid the foundations for what China is today. From a nation once labeled cheap labor to a global tech powerhouse, home to the world’s best infrastructure and public transport, resilient to external shocks, China has come a long way. One photo recently moved me to tears. A tribute showing a soldier who once fought for this land, now standing in modern-day Shanghai, saying, ‘It was worth it.’ Even as a foreigner, my heart swells with pride for my Chinese friends. Their journey is nothing short of extraordinary. If you know me, you’d know why this makes me so emotional. Thank you to @XH_Lee23 for sharing this photo.
