While I also got a bunch of people coming at me for the amalga knight theory I want to pose another more neutral deltarune question. The knight seems to only target kidnappings at night. Kris has been the only one to open fountains at night and knows they are being used as sacrifices. I ask why has Kris tried twice and succeeded once in getting their parents kidnapped? They originally tried with toriel but that failed due to undyne showing up and they successfully got the knight to take their father Asgore. The knight didn't seem to care who it kidnaps as it settles for undyne but clearly Kris wanted them to target their parents. Why are they trying to get their parents sacrificed?
@hellhound33334@a59ri It's not evidence that what happened to gaster would happen to them? It's not evidence that having the soul would give them the chapter select?
I keep seeing this odd comment about how Kris Noelle knight theory somehow doesn't fit with the story of the game? I don't get this as the literal first line in the game from someone other than gaster is "you cannot chose who you are in this world". Which would be fitting for the knight if they are Kris and Noelle considering this was noelles attempt to become something new ultimately for it to fail as again they can't choose. It fits extremely well with the current established themes of the game. Much better then dess knight as we know next to nothing on dess knight. No motive. No reason. We can't even figure out if unused is dess or not.
While I will agree with the going crazy thing that's not my original idea for why they are doing this it's just to help people understand the idea that the only person who's been shown insane enough to go that far would be the knight and Noelle. My main thought for why they are doing it is because they have to. Like my original post said "you cannot choose who you are in this world". They cannot choose whether or not they are the harbinger of the apocalypse they just have to be because it's written that way in the code.
They wouldn't have much of a choice in whether or not they fused. There's been a total of three cases of people ending up in the void. Gaster who when he fell in broke into a million pieces and then reformed together, Unused who is probably dess but seems to only be her soul, and Noelle with Kris given we only have one other case of someone falling in with their body which ended up breaking him into pieces and having him reform back together, the idea of it happening to Noelle and Kris isn't that insane. Also if the soul goes with them which I don't see why not they would have access to our chapter select screen which can be used as a form of time travel.
Okay but first I must ask how you know Dess lost her body? But before you say unused you have to remember that unused is currently speaking to us each chapter from where they are lost at. If she is unused in the void but also the knight in the real world trying to get her body back how does that work? We already know that unused is more than likely just a soul currently with no body.
@KnownAsSys@OrangeSmileCat I'll say the same to you. While we may not agree on religious standpoints I can still hope that everyone has a good new year. Also this argument fell into complete chaos instantly and I got pinged with all of it.
@MathRockSucked@KnownAsSys There are other ideas to pain an suffering that I truly believe could be the reason. Like the idea pain and suffering must exist so that we don't become complacent. So that we can strive to create a better tomorrow and to better put up or avoid suffering.
@MathRockSucked@KnownAsSys Honestly I will never understand the view point that pain and suffering is a good test of faith. It just seems backwards especially if God is supposed to be a miracle giver.
@KnownAsSys I could add more but I hate Twitter limits so I'm just gonna keep it at that so I don't have to keep chaining comments. Either way my point was God in the Bible doesn't exactly work with how our current understanding of the world is. I'm sure it won't be changing any time soon.
@KnownAsSys That is true that the Noah's arc flood could've been exaggerated there are still many other scientific problems in the Bible. I just used Noah's arc as it was the easiest by far. But there's also earth being super young. Or plant life that relies on the sun being made before it.
@KnownAsSys I won't deny that there is a god out there. Currently we don't know what created the universe. But I can accurately deny the Christian God and most other religions on the planet because they do not fit into the scientific standards our universe upholds.
@KnownAsSys Ofcourse we also have geological records with zero showing a mass die off period in any time that It would make sense for the arc flood to happen. This isn't even all the things that could be said and it's only one smaller part of the Bible.
