Young People for Inclusion

Young People for Inclusion is a project for 16-25 year old disabled people in Camden to develop themselves by changing the community they live in.

Parents and carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) can come to Swiss Cottage Library on Wed 20 March, 10am to 1pm, to find info about support, activities and services for them and their family.

@wonderfullyarty It's no excuse, but that awareness wasn't really at the centre of our delivery, it is also challenging to meet such a variety of needs on such limited resources.

Thankyou for challenging and educating me/us. I'm hopeful that we can address the issue, even if not immediately.

@wonderfullyarty Point entirely accepted. Up until now we have almost exclusively been oriented to neurodiversity and learning disabilities (as per the my / project lead's lived experience, and have been oriented to serving this subset of the disabled community...

@wonderfullyarty We recognise that this is not an acceptable state of affairs, and we are going to work with the venue to find a long term solution.

We'd be very willing to have further conversations about accessibility and see if we can find a way to ensure our project is inclusive as possible.
