My 16-year-old son came home from school today unwilling to engage in much conversation with us, preferring instead to immerse himself in the enjoyment of video games and short-form videos. At this age, most children begin to develop a sense of self and become reluctant to communicate with their parents. I hope he matures soon and learns to communicate like a typical adult.
