India's poverty reduction story becomes even more significant when viewed across a longer period.
According to OPHI's Multidimensional Poverty Index, India's multidimensional poverty rate declined from 53.8% in 2005–06 to 16.4% in 2019–21.
The World Bank's October 2026 Poverty & Equity Brief also reports a multidimensional poverty rate of 15.5% in 2022–23 using its own measure.
These indicators highlight improvements in dimensions of deprivation that extend beyond income and consumption alone.
At the same time, India's monetary poverty indicators show extraordinary progress.
Between 2011 and 2023, the poverty rate at the $4.20/day threshold declined from 57.7% to 16.1%.
An estimated 496 million people moved above this benchmark.
Extreme poverty fell more than tenfold during the same period.
Taken together, these figures illustrate a sustained transformation across different aspects of human development.
The progress reflects improvements that have accumulated over many years and across different dimensions of deprivation.
India's development journey has been shaped by multiple economic and social changes, and the resulting poverty reduction is an achievement of exceptional scale.
Everyone thinks AI will replace developers.
Anthropic discovered something more interesting.
Coding became the easiest part.
The real challenge became making decisions faster.
The team behind Claude Code completely changed how they build software:
→ Architecture debates became competing PRs.
→ Design docs became working prototypes.
→ AI handled the repetitive work while humans made the final calls.
→ Every manager had deep engineering experience before leading teams.
→ Their internal mindset became simple: "Claudify everything."
The impact was not just higher output.
New engineers ramped up faster.
Development cycles became shorter.
Claude became part of almost every code commit.
The biggest lesson was not about AI.
It was about removing every process that slowed great engineers down.
The future of software teams is not writing more code.
It is spending less time talking about code and more time testing real ideas.

prediction markets were built to turn people's opinions into probabilities.

prediction markets are interesting because they show what people actually believe about the future.
elections, economic changes, global events.
there is so much value in that information.

AI companies don't always need a smarter model. Sometimes they need a smarter way to use the models they already have.
The difference between scaling an AI product and scaling its costs can come down to infrastructure.
Interesting approach by @useRouterPlus.
I am speechless --> get it. Now I
can use Cartesia's Managed Agents to turn any simple prompt into a working voice agent in minutes!
You choose the instructions, pick an LLM and a voice, and connect the tools your agent needs.
Cartesia takes care of the voice infrastructure behind the scenes and they're so good at it!
You can build agents that answer questions, search knowledge bases, book appointments, and interact with people over the phone.
A few things that stand out:
• Supports 44+ languages
• Handles interruptions naturally
• Connects with your own tools and knowledge bases
• Works through a browser or phone call
The exciting part is not just making an AI talk.
It is giving it a useful job and letting it get things done through a conversation.
I am curious to see what developers build with this.
What would your first voice agent do?
@cartesia
#VoiceAI #AIAgents #tech
most voice AI demos look impressive.
the real test is building something you can actually use.
Cartesia Managed Agents caught my attention because you can bring together a prompt, an LLM, a voice, and tools without building the entire voice infrastructure yourself.
from answering customer questions to booking appointments, there are some interesting things to build here.
i would love to test how it handles interruptions and real conversations.
what would you build first with a voice agent?
@cartesia
We cut our weekly pipeline review prep from a full afternoon to about 20 minutes and the forecast got more accurate.
We work with early-stage B2B teams on go-to-market, and the Monday pipeline review is where hours disappear. Reps spend Friday updating the CRM, ops stitches it into a forecast, and half of it is already stale by the time anyone's in the room.
At first I assumed an AI would just make the mess faster, garbage in, garbage out. So the first week I had him prep the review alongside our usual manual process, fully expecting to throw his version out. I didn't. He caught stalled deals we'd both missed.
Here's what actually changed. We handed the review prep to Viktor. Viktor pulls the week's deal movement from the CRM, flags what's stalled and what slipped a stage, drafts the forecast, and posts the whole thing in Slack before the meeting, held for us to review, not auto-sent.
The reps now hand Viktor their deal updates straight from Slack instead of living in the CRM.
The final decision always stayed with us. The meeting still happens. What changed is that we walk in with a clear, current picture instead of spending the first half building one.
A dashboard shows you the pipeline. A teammate tells you what moved and what's at risk.

I can see myself using it for lead qualification and competitor research, where having the latest information actually matters.
Curious to see what people build with this.
