This post from Olivia Munn is such a stark reminder ladies of why we need to be a lot more proactive about breast cancer. Munn tested negative for any of the genes known to be associated with increased risk. But a risk assessment score led to a biopsy, which led to a diagnosis.
Wonderful to meet this amazing group of young breast oncologists last night - so much incredible data now and more in the pipeline, the future is bright and fun to meet future colleagues and friends! ⭐️ @MarlaLipsycMD@YaelSimonsMD@SherryShenMD@drivorymd@HBatraSharmaMD
The world lost a true free spirit. You have left a huge hole in my heart Kelsey. I love you so much, more than words can say. Life is so fragile. I’ll cherish our memories forever. You will always be my best friend and sister. #MedTwitter : be kind.
If you are debating on whether or not to go to that crowded, indoor #NewYearsEve party understand this…
There’s at least 10,000 #Americans who were alive to celebrate #Christmas last week and are now #dead before #NYE.
It’s not worth it.
Honored and humbled to have participated in @twistoutcancer and to have met the incredible Leah Jacoby. Your story is inspirational and I hope this artwork is reflective of your empowering journey. @UICancerCenter@ShikhaJainMD@UIC_HO_Fellows https://t.co/f98eWvkaMU
Congrats to Kent Hoskins MD for his data presentation on significant biological differences in luminal breast tumors from Black women. "The data tell us that we desperately need proper representation of diverse populations in clinical trials." #ASCO21

Thank you to @UICancerCenter for amplifying our work on health disparities. Can’t wait for #ASCO21 this weekend! “Equity: Every Patient. Every Day. Everywhere.”
Kudos to @YaelSimonsMD and colleagues. The team received a merit award for reporting molecular findings that may help explain why Black women with hormone receptor positive breast cancer are more likely to die from early stage disease. #ASCO2021
