American Airlines you are going to lose me. @AmericanAir Platinum Pro here. Always secure exit row seats. Then you board people in this row last minute with no status or without paying. Just happened on AA3038 from Phoenix to DFW. Other airlines do not do this. Why?

@HLMencat @boggsyNP I was in an exit row. And I paid for it. But then you are allowing passengers to sit in the exit row who did not pay for it and do not have status as you mentioned because they were standby. Should I get a refund then? Other airlines, such as United and JetBlue do not allow.

@AmericanAir That is not the case. Person did not have a seat assignment. No other seats available I gather so they give him a seat absolutely last minute when I’m already ob the flight. He did not pay for nor does he have any status. Period. This happens all of the time. Seat should be open
