Life must be lived intentionally.
Once you see the light, the dark forces will work to keep you distracted.
CHOOSE DIFFERENT.
Choose faith instead of fear
Choose resolution over regret
Choose choose action over mindfucks
CHOICE! That's all we have, that's all we need. #Ruto
Imagine this,
All the businesses/ventures that capture your attention run the same model.
The loss making model. They do not make money from what you think they do.
For instance, football, trading, music/art, politics (running for an office), the list goes on.
even marriage
Now is very transient!
Today is eternal. Today is always here.
Think of a year, month, day.
You lived a "today," its all you ever do.
Like, I change the course of my life today.
Now presents pressure, that's why you always escape it by scrolling down for something else to fill
"My story will be one for the papers. For the tongues to wag on. "
This attitude will help you to stop exposing your issues. Wear your strong side on.
Communicate through actions, iterations (habits), and outcomes.
Less talking, more doing, creating, developing, deploying
I went to visit my uncle this afternoon.
But he has really bashed me.
That my clock is ticking, yet I do not own a ranch.
He wondered where I take my money, and yet I do not drink.
I kept quiet the whole time.
Then he finally dropped the line I had been waiting for.
- Jitetee sasa. What is your excuse?
I immediately pulled out my phone. Opened my investment app. And handed it to him.
Then told him:
- Uncle, what you are looking at is my portfolio of shares in great companies. Nataka ifike mita siku moja.
He listened very keenly. I thought I was finally about to receive the legendary: Congratulations my son.
Instead, he leaned back. Looked at me. Then asked.
- That's OK. But what are stocks and shares in Kikuyu?
I had never thought about it. I froze.
He told me to take my time.
Eventually, I gave up. And told him to answer his own question.
He smiled. Then said.
- Stocks and shares do not have a name in Kikuyu or any African languages.
- The colonizers invented these fancy slogans to make brokies think they are becoming wealthy by accumulating papers and numbers on screens.
- Meanwhile, they themselves are accumulating the real assets.
I asked him: What are real assets?
He replied:
- Land.
- Animals.
- Plants and foods.
- Water bodies et al
Things you can actually touch. These are the things that create wealth.
Then he concluded with a sentence that has refused to leave my head.
• Every African man must own real assets.
Is the old man right or wrong?

Any person that excels in any field, falls in love with the process
They appreciate the beauty behind what seems like mundane or madness to the spectator
The same is true for trading. Simulate, backrest, paper trade, live trade.
You are like a F1 driver. Takeoff
Think of the elite in any sports
You look at baseball and notice there is a technique to holding and swinging the bat
You look at golf a way to position the body and cub, a technique to shifting your feet, waist, and arms
Look at football, a way to receive a pass
Man to men:
Bro, the goal is to be liquid. What do I mean? Create, polish skills, add more education ( if necessary) and — increase streams of income. Also, what I mean is; today you’re in the village, tomorrow in Durban, a week later in Diane — completely mobile and connected.
Work on your street skills and connectedness. You should be able to land in Nairobi and you know the perfect place to hold meetings with foreigners or a perfect place regroup, relax and make plans or a place to eat clean nyama choma or someone who can ship you any consignment you don’t want get your hands dirty touching.
And in all these things remember to be cautious and avoid prison and the death of a fool.
