Tinubu introduces a one month fuel subsidy.

Sudden death will increase close to the Day of Judgment. For the Muslim, is it good or bad?
Most of us would choose to go quickly. No long nights in a hospital bed. No watching our bodies give out. No becoming a burden on the people we love.
But the early Muslims hoped for an illness before death. Why?
Because it gave them time to prepare to stand before Allah in the best possible state.
Knowing death was near, they could turn back to Him in repentance, leave their final wishes with their families, and ask His forgiveness before they met Him.
That doesn’t make a sudden death a bad death.
When Aisha (ra) asked the Prophet ﷺ about it, he called it a mercy for the believer.
And a long illness, carried with patience, can wash a person clean of their sins before they return to Allah.
So we don’t ask for one or the other.
We ask Allah for whichever is better for us, because only He knows whether we would hold firm through that trial or break under it.
