Yakima Transit provides fixed-route and paratransit services for the City of Yakima.

In observance of the Juneteenth holiday, city bus service, Dial-A-Ride paratransit service, and Yakima-Ellensburg Commuter service will not operate on Friday, June 19. City bus service and Dial-A-Ride paratransit service will resume on Saturday, June 20.

In observance of Memorial Day there will be no fixed route bus services, no Yakima-Ellensburg commuter, or Dial-A-Ride services on Monday, May 25th.

The seasonal run for the Yakima-Ellensburg Commuter will not be operating until classes resume for CWU on April 1st. The other scheduled times will operate as normal.

There will be no Yakima Transit service on Monday, February 16th in observance of Presidents' Day. This includes city buses, Dial-A-Ride paratransit, and the Yakima-Ellensburg Commuter. Service will resume as scheduled on Tuesday, February 17th.

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, there will be no city bus service, Yakima Ellensburg Commuter or Dial-A-Ride Paratransit service on Monday, January 19th. All services will resume as scheduled on Tuesday, January 20th.

In observance of New Year's Day, there will be no services for fixed route (city bus), Dial-A-Ride or Yakima-Ellensburg Commuter on Thursday, January 01, 2026. Service will resume on Friday, January 2nd as scheduled.

In observance of Christmas, there will be no fixed route, Yakima Ellensburg Commuter or Dial-A-Ride service on Thursday, December 25th. Normal services will resume on Friday, December 26th.

In observance of Thanksgiving there will be no fixed route bus services, no Yakima-Ellensburg Commuter, or Dial-A-Ride services on November 27th. Normal service will resume November 28th.

The Transit Center Office will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27th and Friday, Nov. 28th.

In observance of Veteran's Day, there will be no City Bus fixed route service, Dial-A-Ride or Yakima-Ellensburg Commuter on Tuesday, November 11th. Normal services will resume on Wednesday, November 12th.
