The coolest thing about the World Cup is that for the last few weeks, Americans actually came together for a common cause.
That is rarely seen in the year 2026.
It was cool to witness.
@IAmSam070777@ShannonSharpe They need to stop glorifying Pulisic’s mediocre ass, get Alexi Lallas off the TV and the casuals off of X and maybe we can tolerate the US 😂
Every 4 years in the World Cup, there's a narrative of "American men are finally competitive at a high level of soccer!"
And every 4 years, we are reminded- no, they absolutely are not.
Tonight was brutal. But it was truth.
I also don’t buy that… NBA, NFL players have nothing to do with soccer players. Kids that are interested in the sport have the infrastructure to be elite as well. The US is the richest country in the world with a massive population, should be a top 10 team. There’s enough interest to do so.
@IAmSam070777@ShannonSharpe With their low block, anti-football, haramball havin asses they’ll muster up some wins every now and then. I don’t hate America, I hate their media/football coverage that makes them out to be much better than they actually are. Balance has been restored.
@LaborerCat@ShannonSharpe The MLS has more quality, player pool is much larger with lots of players playing at big clubs in Europe but the national team has seemingly digressed.
@JosephCarreiro@JasonLaCanfora Yeah the season they finished 8th? Being the best player on a midtable side but you’re the face of a nation? Cut the shit he’s average.
