We’re committing a portion of Anthropic’s shares to the Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, a new wholly owned entity dedicated entirely to the public benefit.
It will start off with 5% of our shares. For every 50% increase in the company’s value over a set baseline, we can contribute up to an extra 2%, subject to our board’s discretion.
In total, this means that roughly 20% of Anthropic’s shares are committed to the public good. Our co-founders have already pledged to donate 80% of their equity, and around half our employees are donating a portion of their equity as part of a donation matching program we’ve run since our founding.
In the post below, we share more details about our new fund.

Data project (AI-able) and exam (paper, no aids) score distribution on the undergraduate Development Economics course I have been teaching at Stockholm University, 2022-2026.
This document is going to be an assigned reading in college classes that cover this moment in time, there's a lot happening in a few paragraphs... https://t.co/pXhgPwFqtg
Video on demand destroyed children's common pop-culture as they're no longer forced to watch whatever the TV Guide dictates. Instead, consumption will be dictated by their millennial parents.
Pokémon has become eternal.
At kindergarten drop off, and the kids have Spiderman and Pikachu merch. Both stuff that was popular when I was in second grade. I don't see any newer IPs (though I bet I could find Frozen (2013) if I looked hard). Stuck culture.
AGI doesn't mean "really smart AI". It means "artificial *general* intelligence". A model that is wildly superhuman in mathematics but still can't replace an accountant isn't AGI (yet)
@BenPielstick I feel like Grok Imagine has been routing me to OpenAI for image generation the past few days; same horrendous noise pattern on anything I'm trying to Ghibli.
I was ready for 28 days of disappointment, but this is actually quite nice for developers. I don't know if they fixed it recently, but auto-review was eating up like 80% of token usage just a few weeks ago.
Day 2.1/
We have made Auto-review free for all users signed in through a ChatGPT account. You can enable it in settings > permissions > auto-review. Auto-review improves upon the default sandbox setting that requires you to approve everything, which is prone to decision fatigue unless you spend a lot of time configuring specific rules.
It allows you to run long tasks while having a second agent review all actions taken by the primary agent. Its only goal is to prevent high-risk actions from being taken and to protect against unwanted actions that are not aligned with the original user intent. This Auto-review feature is now free and does not draw usage from your plan.

@thsottiaux@atelicinvest This is an anti-feature. I need impermanence, or at the very least, dots (plural), so the context I provide one doesn't poison the context provided to another.
@kendrictonn >[history paintings] do not sell
They look phenomenal and I'd buy them*
* Likely, and unfortunately, at a much lower price point than the artists who create them are willing to entertain.
Ari solves a Rubik's cube while Griffin coaches him from what it sees in his hands, and when he goes quiet to think, it waits. Its perception is always on, so it acts without being asked. Note: this actually blew our minds seeing happen live.
The European Commission has rolled out an alternative to Microsoft Teams.
But officials using it aren't impressed, with one describing the tool as “absolute shit.”
