@bitchthatsjune@farttroll100000@DarrigoMelanie Enforcing borders is just an extension of enforcing private property rights. If a nation can't safeguard its borders then how can citizens expect the government to safeguard their right to private property? In no way is that a strawman, it's axiomatic logic.
@bitchthatsjune@farttroll100000@DarrigoMelanie Someone you don't know breaks into your house but bought SOME groceries. You don't know anything about them. Do you let them stay in your house?
@bitchthatsjune@farttroll100000@DarrigoMelanie Most people wouldn't disagree with that. The problem is the system is so bureaucratic and takes forever, which is why people come in illegally.... but you also get people that gave criminal backgrounds and don't care to wait. ICE is dealing with those people first.
@bitchthatsjune@farttroll100000@DarrigoMelanie If you go back and read what I said, yes I said the criminals that are citizens are a problem. My question to you is why would allowing more criminals running around, that shouldn't be here to begin with, be beneficial when we have to deal with ones that are legal citizens?
@bitchthatsjune@farttroll100000@DarrigoMelanie We have prisons for a reason. Your idea is to just ignore the ones that shouldn't even be in the country to to begin with. And why? Because feelings.
