Remembering Andrea de Cesaris on his birthday, who was born in Rome #OnThisDay, May 31, 1959. He drove 208 Grand Prix between 1980 and 1994. He once had the 1982 Monaco Grand Prix in his grasp, only to run out of fuel on the final lap, and led again at Spa in 1983, only for his engine to blow. He drove for nine different teams. Tragically, he passed away on on October 5, 2014, after a motorcycle accident on the Grande Raccordo Anulare motorway in Rome.
