Prior to Game 4 of the 2001 World Series, Lee Greenwood stood at home plate of the original Yankee Stadium and performed the song as powerful tribute to the victims and first responders. As the New York Yankees piled on in the eighth inning of Sunday’s drubbing of the Red Sox, WEEI radio play-by-play man Will Flemming suggested that Boston pitcher Jovani Morán throw at New York catcher Austin Wells and start a fight with Jazz Chisholm Jr.

Flemming’s charged comments came after Chisholm stole a pair of bases with the Yankees up six runs, drawing the ire of the Red Sox broadcast booth.

Non-update on Giancarlo Stanton: he's resumed his running progression following his most recent calf strain, but Aaron Boone said there's "no timeline" for him to get in rehab games or rejoin the #Yankees.
