it is a guide to emotional intelligence, self-respect, and the discernment of character
Ibn Mas’ūd رضي الله عنه said:
“You are living in a time where desires are controlled by the truth.
However, a time will come when the truth will be molded by desires.”

The Role of the Intellect
Imam al-Baghawi defines the ‘Aql [intellect] by writing:
The word al-‘Aql is derived from the the restraining bridle – ‘iqaal – of the riding animal which is tightened around the knees of the camel so that it prevents it from wandering away. So likewise, the ‘aql prevents its possessor from kufr and ingratitude.

Shaykh Aḥmad al-Quʿaymī al-Ḥanbalī states:
“al-Iqnāʿ adds: that it is recommended that she (the potential wife) be beautiful, because that is more calming for his soul and more restraining for his gaze. And Imām Aḥmad mentioned that whoever
@heartsareblind My question is how do you reach this cure for love in the first place if there wasn’t a lawful union in the first place to fall in love so this is not real love
Imaam Ahmad was asked:
What does it mean to love for the sake of Allaah?"
He replied: "It is when you do not love someone for any worldly gain."

Al-Ghazālī [d. 505 AH] said:
“This is a false delusion, and it prevails over most people, whenever you attribute a statement and ascribe it to a person toward whom they hold a good opinion, they accept it even if it is false; and when you ascribe it to someone toward whom they

Ona anam-babam feda olsun!
Ibn al-Qayyim
“The perfection of man is based on these two abilities: Knowledge and love. And the best knowledge is the knowledge about Allāh, and the highest love is the love for His Sake.”

Luqmān (رضي الله عنه) said to his son:
“O my son, if Shaytān comes to you from the direction of doubt and suspicion, then overcome him with certainty and sincere advice. If he comes to you from the direction of laziness and weariness, then overcome him by remembering the grave and the Resurrection. And if he comes to you from the direction of hope and fear, then tell him that this worldly life is something that will be departed from and left behind.”
