1. Create a tester account

Add your real information, devices, operating systems, languages and skills.

2. Complete the onboarding/training Test IO teaches you how to test and write acceptable bug reports. Your profile and performance affect the tests you receive.

3. Receive testing invitations You can get invitations based on things such as your devices, location, language, skills and tester performance.

4. Test the website/app You'll receive instructions telling you what part of the product to test. Look for things that don't work correctly—crashes, broken buttons, incorrect calculations, login problems, UI problems, etc.

5. Submit a detailed bug report A good report normally includes:

-Clear bug title
-Steps to reproduce
-What you expected
-What actually happened
-Device/browser information
-Screenshots or video where required

If the bug is accepted, you get paid. Test IO says the highest-paying bugs can pay up to $50, although that isn't what every bug pays.

6. Build your tester reputation Good reports and higher tester performance can lead to more invitations and better opportunities.
