Government Doctor Dies After Damaged Hospital Wall Collapses in Chamoli

A tragic accident has claimed the life of Dr. Naveen Chandra Dimri, Medical Officer In-charge at the Government Hospital in Narayanbagar, Chamoli.

The hospital’s boundary wall, which had been damaged during heavy rains on 25 June, collapsed while repair work was underway. Dr. Dimri was inspecting the site when the weakened wall suddenly gave way, trapping him under the debris.

He was rescued and referred to a higher centre in critical condition but sadly succumbed to his injuries on the way.

The incident has left the local community and healthcare staff in shock, while raising serious questions over the safety of damaged public infrastructure and whether adequate precautions were in place during the repair work.

As always, Some people are deliberately trying to give this tragic incident a caste angle to further their political agenda. The focus should be on ensuring justice for the victim, not on exploiting a horrific crime to divide society.

And more importantly, the accused has already been arrested, and the law is taking its course.
I hope those attempting to spread social divisions and incite tensions also face strict action.
