It’s SO easy for someone like me, who was born and raised in Canada, to be anti-war and anti-foreign intervention. That’s what we were taught in school: that both of these things are, without exception, BAD.
We all have biases we cannot deny. I had to go out of my way to understand how Iranians in Iran, or those who lived there for many years, see things. Always remember that people who have lived through oppression and terrorism will see things differently than those who haven’t.
I wouldn’t be an ally to Iranians if I didn’t try to listen to them, align myself with them, and amplify their voices.
You may have noticed a divide amongst the Iranians who were born and raised or, for the majority of their lives, lived/grew up abroad, often having different opinions than the ones living IN Iran.
It’s unfortunate that many of the diaspora are using their freedom of speech and privilege to talk OVER their fellow Iranians who are oppressed, instead of hearing them out and trying to understand them.
🔴This is Madness: The Islamic regime tortured 40-year-old Hossam Aladdin, a father of two, to death... simply for using Starlink.
They killed him just for wanting internet access.
WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE?
🔴DON’T LOOK AWAY
The Islamic regime is going to hang Diana Taherabadi because she participated in the January protests.
She’s only 16.
This is pure barbarism.
Share this before they kill her.
“I stand with Iran” is confusing
You either stand with the PEOPLE of Iran and support their fight for freedom
Or you stand by the terrorist regime that has occupied the country for 47+ years
Where do you stand?
In the past two days, the Islamic Republic executed three innocent men arrested during the Lion and Sun Revolution, as it continues its massacre of the Iranian people.
Several others arrested during protests remain in the regime's prisons and are at risk of imminent execution.
