“These junior apprentice doctors aren’t senior or experienced enough to bother paying adequately” claims party that just made a 29 year old with 18 months’ experience in government a life peer.
How to help someone who’s cooking a barbecue:
1. Stand at their side
2. Keep one hand on your hip
3. Other hand holding a drink
4. Stare at the food
5. Occasionally say “those sausages might be done I reckon”
6. That’s it. You’ve been invaluable
You can’t argue with these numbers from the @FT can you @SteveBarclay ?
‘Nurses and doctors have seen a much steeper decline in real terms pay than the average British worker’
Just look at this, shameful:
Solidarity to all the junior doctors who made the difficult but necessary decision to strike. It comes down to this. When I qualified as a doctor, I was paid 25% more in real terms than they are today. (And I was at least 25% worse.) This isn't a pay rise, this is pay restoration
I hate the idea of doctors striking, but I hate what the government has done to the NHS even more ( and it’s not only a question of under-funding). So if I was still in the NHS, I would support the junior doctors.
