Today I hosted a high level delegation led by the Director General Health Services to oversee a 5 day Simulation Exercise for Emergency Medical Teams in Uganda. The Infectious Diseases Treatment Module is a very good addition to our national response capability.

In partnership with MOH Uganda, we launched a national Birth Asphyxia awareness campaign on 27th June 2025 in Jinja Regional Referral Hospital. Asphyxia is now the leading cause of neonatal deaths in Uganda.
Let us work together to eliminate preventable neonatal deaths.
