Grateful to have spent the final year of my PhD as one of @BSACandJAC’s inaugural parliamentary interns together with @E_StevensonBG who had the opportunity to work with @NatalieBen @FadyPEC @Hunter_Gracchus on policy matters relating to #AMR #OneHealth and #PlanetaryHealth at the @UKHouseofLords.

Thankful for the support, guidance, and all the pieces of advice on how we can effectively use research findings to influence policies. It was a challenging final year and I’m proud of the impact that @E_StevensonBG and I produced over the past year: policy brief, stakeholder consultations, written questions, viewpoint and media articles, contribution to debate speeches, among others.

Our work on influencing policy development does not end here. We need many people who are skilled in translating sound evidence to policy recommendations. This experience cemented my interest to continue working on #healthpolicies to help promote human and planetary health after my PhD.
