Finally, we used an extraction liquid made of water, easing up liquid and salt and some hand sanitiser to extract DNA from strawberries and see what it looks like to the naked eye. We are now DNA experts! @ScienceWeekUK #ScienceatSTP

Inspired by @ScientistScouse we made a double helix out of sweets and made sure our bases were paired correctly. We were very proud of our results! @ScienceWeekUK #ScienceatSTP

Yesterday we had a visit from a local author, Deborah Morgan. We listened to poems from different authors and then Deborah inspired us to create our own haiku poem. #EnglishatSTP
