Reminds me of the "soap opera effect" - something slightly off but I can't quite put my finger on it.

The issue with streaming is that it's meant to be a continuous form of entertainment. Taking frequent breaks (30 minutes on, 5 minutes off) is tough.

@NorthernlionLP highly recommend "/muteall" if you're actually going to play league of legends.

Just open chat and type that to mute your teammates and you'll have a much better time, frankly.

It's the illusion of choice - the only choice you have in blackjack is whether to have worse chances of winning by making sub-optimal moves.

The illusion is more appealing to young people than pure chance slot machines or lottery tickets. It's where casinos will go next I think.

@NorthernlionLP On casinos: (casino worker 6 years) they're not going away, they'll just shift. Younger people want to believe that they're winning and losing based on their decisions/skill - games in the future will rely on the illusion of choice rather than things like slots.

Blackjack is a great example. Perfect play still offers the player a loss on average and any "skill" a player is using is deviation from perfect basic strategy. It ONLY hurts your chances of winning (barring counting cards or cheating) meaning that there are no real choices.

@NorthernlionLP By the way, we DO have Giant Eagle but it's mostly in the northeast as I understand it. Giant eagle is essentially an upper midrange grocery store. Got it everywhere in Ohio.
