Every time people tell me to recommend a destination that would leave them speechless or surprised, it is always one or all of this three.
Vacation brain is awesome. All I did was eat and drink and walk around and not deny myself anything so my brain is like “wow great town. I should move here. It would probably be like this every day”
One of the things you have to love about the UK is how seriously people take their hobbies. Running clubs, book clubs, Five a side leagues, paddle, allotments, pottery classes. The infrastructure for having a rich non-work life is genuinely impressive.

1. May – Bank Holidays, longer days, perfect balance of warmth without it being too hot.
2. June – Peak sunshine, summer energy & everything just feels alive.
3. July – Full on summer mode, festivals, holidays & long evenings.
If I knew then what I know now, I would have tried hard to get into LSE. Yes, uni would have been absolutely miserable and I’d have no friends but I’d never have to worry about being unemployed ever again.
We’ve lost the art of just being like “hey man that was kinda uncool.” Everything has to be the biggest deal ever and people have to be groveling begging for forgiveness and apologizing profusely for every little thing. Sometimes a “yeah that was uncool my fault guys” is enough
