YepYou provides the World's First Human Breath Carbon Offset service. 100% Nature Based offsets for the logical first step to act on climate and deforestation.
@LastWeekTonight Like everything in life, there's the good, the bad and the ugly. We agree with John that carbon offsets are often not what you'd hope for. It took us months to find people (@WeForest_org) that were as passionate about regenerating forests for the planet as we were.
@egonwillighagen @LastWeekTonight Hi, YepYou is one of the offset organizations mentioned by John Oliver. As a provider of offsets, we agree with John's general perspective that carbon offsets are often not as robust as what you'd expect. That's why it took us a long time to find WeForest, who do what they say.
Plants on land and plants in the oceans absorb CO2. They use the carbon to grow and release the oxygen. Animals and fungi inhale the oxygen, breathe out the CO2 and the process starts again.
Only plants generate the oxygen we need to breathe. And they do it for free, forever.
What is the difference between a human and a power station?
The outside.
On the inside humans and fossil fuel power stations are doing the same thing. We eat foods that contain carbon, breathe in oxygen, use chemical reactions to create energy and make CO2 as a by-product.
Like a coal fired power plant that burns coal or a car that burns fuel, humans burn food to create energy and CO2.
YepYou empowers you to act on climate change, as daunting as it may seem, through the simple act of offsetting your breath.
Climate change is overwhelming. What the hell can we do about it?
We're not sure exactly but we do know that our natural places need to be protected and restored.
Join us and a growing movement around the world that is recognising that we can't live without nature.
Be the World’s First!
YepYou is now launching. We are empowering people to take personal action on climate change and deforestation by offering the world’s first Human Breath Carbon Offset service. 🌍

Yepyou will ensure all of our solutions are 100% Nature Based and benefit humans and all other living things.
The juvenile St. Andrew’s Cross spider (Argiope keyserlingi) in this photo has made a circular stabilimentum, which looks like a white silk doily in the center of the web. The purpose of the stabilimentum is thought to help in stabilising the overall strength of the web.
We share the planet with 7 species of pelican.
If food is low, pelicans have been sighted eating seagulls and ducklings; holding the prey in their bill until they drown and can be more easily swallowed.

From Mauna Loa observatory in Hawaii our atmospheric CO2 levels are now at around 420ppm. This most recently corresponds with the Pliocene period 3 million years ago. That period was another 2 degrees warmer than now and sea levels were 15 metres higher. #climatechange
We love our coffee shots. Changes to the way humans grow coffee moved from amongst forests to full sun, chemically fertilised monoculture with a new breed of plant in the 1970s. Look out for the Rainforest Alliance frog on your coffee brands.

How do we remove CO2 accumulating in the atmosphere at the rate of 20 billion tonnes per year? At present only trees and oceans are doing it and oceans have acidified as a result by 30% since the start of the industrial revolution.
