#CA relied on racist policies to suppress quality ed for #Black students. Vote YES on #Prop16 to address & reckon with racial violence in education. Check out resources like @edtrustwest’s #BlackMindsMatter policy timelines: https://t.co/EOAWGZp3vl. #EdEquityOnTheBallot
I endorse @YesProp16, which will help create a stronger economic future for women & communities of color. This is aligned with my father’s dream & work to eradicate injustice, including economic injustice. To those who disagree, I invite you to study #MLK more comprehensively.👇🏾

When CA passed #Prop209, it didn’t end systemic racism & sexism—it put up blinders to it.
It didn’t end discrimination—it made it harder to address.
That’s why I coauthored #ACA5—placing #Prop209 repeal on the ballot—& why I urge you to vote #YesOnProp16
Women of color — especially Black and Latinx — have consistently been paid less and had less access to higher education than their white, male counterparts. Prop 16 is a crucial step to leveling the playing field, via @ceciliacabello.
La justicia racial está en la boleta electoral este año. Es hora de votar sí en #Prop15 para reclamar $12 mil millones para nuestras comunidades y sí en #Prop16 para restaurar la acción afirmativa en California. @Schools1stCA@yesprop16
The #StopProp16 campaign has been using dirty tactics all along the road... Their latest act: Using dark money from @NASorg to push out misinformation campaigns around #Prop16 and #AffirmativeAction, violating FPPC compliance laws. Don’t fall for their tricks! Vote #YesOnProp16

@_tifflia@janellyybeann@selenamichellee We know it's confusing. The 1996 ban on affirmative action was deceptively written by a man who doesn’t believe in systemic racism. The ban was supported by David Duke / opposed by Rosa Parks, Dr. King’s family, and all civil rights groups. #Prop16 repeals that ban. #YesOnProp16!
Students from 181 schools in CA cast 43,294 votes in the mock election, researching & voicing their opinions on U.S. President and the 12 statewide measures on the Nov. ballot. California kids overwhelmingly support #YesOn15 and #YesOnProp16! https://t.co/3aRyG45l7Q
