@jims__juice but i like to make everything into a joke, so that’s just me, but i know a number of guys who work in environments like this who would leave it at something like “keep speaking on my wife, and watch what happens.” doesn’t matter how you do it just stand up for yourself bro!!!!
@jims__juice with guys like that i’d say some shit back like “this whole calling wife mommy shit just makes you sound very pissed that you don’t have someone suckin, fuckin, and feeding YOU”
if you can’t think of 6 quick and sassy responses to embarrass them back you need to at least be able to threaten them with a trip to HR or an after work “meeting” in the parking lot (only if you can back that one up though). They treat you like this because you are allowing it.
@okekeFC christian head coverings and veiling were different before the crusades. it’s interesting how you see many of these conservative christian men beg women for modesty while denouncing hijab. Any excuse to shit on another religion I guess, forgetting how we have influenced eachother
@okekeFC Now cause christians haven’t been doing any head covering as much for the last 100 years (which a few more conservative christians are still mad about and blame feminism for) it’s all the other religions that are to be looked down upon.. it’s definitely two faced and strange.
@okekeFC I don’t think it fully requires a 1 to 1 example for the point to hold up, even though you could make one it wouldn’t hit the majority because most christians these days are only exposed to head coverings through nuns. Still, accept one and denounce the other is engaging in bias.
@okekeFC that is what I was saying earlier as to why they didn’t use another example. it’s not pop culture. op was still correct imo, if you understand the concept of head covering for nuns, you can at least hold some level of understanding for other religious head coverings.
@okekeFC denominations have different relationships to head coverings and different interpretations of Genesis saying that the veil is like peak feminine modesty, there are a few denominations that expect women to veil at all times to this day, and then of course there was the wimple era
@shitt3d_on_em yeah that’s definitely not everyone’s relationship to it, & not every woman throughout history joined convents voluntarily… & i didn’t even read the replies i just don’t have the stomach for it today tbh LOL
