Kenny Lofton Jr. once outplayed Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren in one of the biggest games of their careers...

But Lofton hasn't been on an NBA team for over a year 🤯

During the finals of the 2021 U-19 FIBA World Cup, all the headlines were on Wemby and Chet.

It was the battle between the top prospect in the world against the top prospect in the US.

But at the end of the first half, USA had problems.

🔸 Had no answers for Wemby
🔸 Faced biggest deficit of the tournament
🔸 Were in danger of losing for the first time since 2007.

This is where Lofton saved the day.

💪 Scored 15 of his 16 points in the 2nd half
💪 Made Wemby foul out in the 4th
💪 Led a comeback in what turned out to be a 2 point win.

Lofton had 2 impressive seasons at Louisiana Tech. But in the 2022 NBA draft, every team passed on him.

Instead, Lofton signed a 2-way contract with the Grizzlies.

He spent most of his time in the G-League, but when he had a chance to play, he made it count.

Lofton even made history by becoming the first player in NBA history to put up at least 40 points and 10 rebounds in a player's first career start.

Even then, teams weren't impressed.

Lofton would spend his second year playing for 3 teams, all on 2-way contracts.

Then, Lofton played the next season in China for the Shanghai Sharks. And Lofton went off:

⭐ 25.2 PTS
⭐ 12.6 REB
⭐ 6.5 AST
⭐ 1.6 STL
⭐ CBA League MVP

Kenny Lofton Jr. is only 22 years old.

And now he’s making it harder for NBA teams to ignore him 🗣️
