During the blue time on Inner Mongolia prairie after this severe thunderstorm system passed overhead on Sept 14,the increadible mammatus cloud with pink glow has apprared,just like grapes hanging under the sky. Blue color inside the gap is the most magical thing.

Can you imagine that such a severe thunderstorm appeared in west Inner Mongolia on 9.14?The ave precipitation of year is just over 50mm here.Storm brought over 25m/s of downburst and heavy rainfall accompained with dense hail,and also big haboob later.@MikeOlbinski

After 300km of storm chasing,I finally got to this target observation spot and began to shoot the timelapse images sequence of this tremendous supercell mesocyclone.Inflow and outflow wind were all over 17.2m/s and 2+cm of hail decended on the prairie.

The last chase in 2023！Got the timelapse of full process of supercell mesocyclone development in Inner Mongolia(over an hour）！Standing on such a prairie and watching the storm change from a cumulus congest to supercell,all the effort was paid back！@MikeOlbinski

This is a developing severe thunderstorm cell with flanking line structure.According to the radar velocity the rotation speed is increasing fastly and it's going to become a standard supercell storm later.

Awesome dark downburst rainfall at Xilin Gol League prairie in north China. Over 70mm/h of precipitation has been recorded under this downburst.

This is a developing supercell thunderstorm at Hulun Buir city in northeast China,mesocyclone structure was distinct. At the last photo a cg lightning decented just less than 340m away! I got in my car as soon as possible after that...

This is a small supercell thunderstorm mesocyclone over the village in northeast Chins on August 8,2023.Rainfall in RFD circled to the southwest of wall cloud and a tiny funnel cloud formed as I was hit by strong wind from RFD downburst and then I rushed into my car.

An epic outflow dominant supercell shelf cloud with significant cyan hail core on August 3th in northeast China.The damaging wind has reached over 23m/s and then 26.9m/s which blew down lots of trees in the diatant city @MikeOlbinski

Some nice lightning strikes at Hulun Buir prairie in north China yesterday. We can see that the right cg lighting in pic1 has purple return strike and blue branches at the same time...so if anyone can tell me what was going on？😲 @MikeOlbinski

The best shelf clouds and whale's mouth I have ever shot!Today when I was chasing a squall line in north China prairie,it suddenly turned into a classic bow-echo which made me rushed to southeast area and then I got such a wonderful shelf clouds ahead of this storm.@MikeOlbinski

An unforgettable thunderstorm chase in Nanjing city,east China.Hardly to see such dense mammatus cloud and well-structured shelf cloud in metropolitan area.Strong downburst from a dying supercell storm hit the center of Nanjing and broken trees are everywhere.

BOOM！This is horrible！Lightning bolts just less than 100m away from me last night over Nanchang city in south China！Entire roof of building was shaking by huge thunder！@MikeOlbinski
