It took me some time to post his, but last week was a surreal, lifetime achievement, as my colleague David Wright was exonerated after 28.5 years of a bogus criminal prosecution, where he was wrongly imprisoned from ages 17-45.
What the heck do you know about “woke politics?”
Being kind, decent, respectful or inclusive should not be labeled “woke.” It’s about openness and enlarging the circle — not replacement. It’s addition, not subtraction.
The new cultural warriors have simply run out of ideas.
I think it demonstrates extraordinary leadership for Sen. Fetterman to acknowledge that he struggles with depression. We should be removing stigma and encouraging folks to seek treatment. He’s setting an example in a country that so willfully ignores mental health. Good on him.
Eleven-year-old Jude Kofie, of Aurora, Colorado, demonstrated a remarkable talent no one anticipated when he discovered an old keyboard and, without any lessons, began playing - a talent piano tuner Bill Magnusson termed "Mozart level." https://t.co/njxydT6djB
Human beings weren’t built to endure mental illness. The mere fact that some people consider those to be weak, or have a lack of will is totally laughable… because it’s the total opposite! It’s takes a very, very strong person… a warrior if you will… to battle such illnesses.
Our @ObamaFoundation Leaders are working hard to tackle some of our toughest challenges. It was great having some of them join @TrevorNoah and me on @TheDailyShow to share more about their work.
Today: charges FINALLY dropped against Marcellous Pittman after the court found he had been tortured into confessing. 19 years wrongfully imprisoned. Despite the world’s problems, honored 2 seek justice, at least in part, for clients one by one. @ExonerationProj@UWSchoolofLaw
"Why are we here?" Sen. Murphy presses fellow senators in emotional speech after Texas elementary school shooting.
"I am here on this floor, to beg, to literally get down on my hands and knees and beg my colleagues ... find a way to pass laws that make this less likely."
I’m still sort of in shock that Alito actually bemoaned a shortage of “the domestic supply of infants.” I can’t imagine what a young woman must think that the majority of the Supreme Court believes her role in society is to provide babies for others like a factory.
