This iconic childhood photo of Wemby was taken in 2013, when he was just 9 years old. Standing beside him is his childhood basketball coach, Michaël Allard.

The jersey Wemby is wearing belongs to Tony Parker, who was drafted by the Spurs in 2001 and won his first NBA championship in the 2002–03 season during his first NBA Finals appearance. Parker was a key contributor and the team’s starting point guard.

Now, Wemby has reached his first NBA Finals.
